Summer School Objectives
The Summer School is aimed at presenting modern state-of-the-art and main research topics related to full-scale and model-scale studies in dynamical behaviour of large structures:
 |
high-rise buildings,
| |
long-span suspension and cabled stayed bridges,
| |
high industrial chimneys,
| |
TV-towers.
|
The School's field of interest also covers the areas of:
 |
modern experimental methods in mechanics,
| |
modal analysis,
| |
nondestructive damage evaluation.
|
The emphasis will be put on modeling and testing. The topics will be addressed with the reference to theoretical aspects, experimental methods and case studies. The course is addressed to advanced students, engineers and researchers in the field of structural dynamics. The keynote lectures shall be given by members of the Scientific Committee and other invited experts.
